Choosing the right officiant for your wedding is an incredibly important decision.

You’re entrusting a complete stranger to tell your unique love story to your loved ones, which requires a lot of vulnerability and trust; sharing intimate moments, big milestones, and precious memories. That’s why it’s essential to find someone who truly understands the significance of this occasion.

Enter Brits and Brides!

We believe that pronouncing a couple as “married’ (in a British accent) is one of the most meaningful experiences of our lives. It fills us with immense joy to play a role in such a special day in our couple’s lives!

We work with couples who want to break away from traditional norms and have modern, bold, fun ceremonies! We want to create moments that truly showcase their personalities and quirks. We want to laugh, cry and make your guests feel the love!

It’s not just about saying the words that make a couple married, it’s about showcasing their love for one another and creating a ceremony that’s truly unforgettable.

Hi, I’m Beth!

  • I was born in the small seaside town of Hastings, England. I lived there for 21 years.

  • I was a drama kid (which may be why I love being an Officiant).

  • I have an incredibly loud laugh.

  • I came to Minnesota in 2014 to be a summer camp counselor in Excelsior.

  • In 2015, I moved to Minneapolis after a year of long-distance dating with my (now) husband.

  • I married my friends in 2018 and have since married over 30 couples.

  • Zelda is my wonderful 6-year-old Shiba Inu.

  • I meet, fellow Brit, Anna in 2020, we became fast friends and formed Brits and Brides!

  • I love to read, sing karaoke, buy house plants, redecorate my house, have real conversations, FaceTime my nan, get tattoos, and play board games.

Hi, I’m Anna!

  • I was born in South London and lived there until I moved to Minneapolis in 2018.

  • I’m a Theatre Production Director. My passion for orchestrating theatre is why I’m also so passionate about wedding officiating! And it means I always know how to find my light.

  • I met my (now) husband at a Halloween party in London in 2014 where I was dressed as a skeleton; when I flew to see him in Minnesota 4 months later, it was the first time he saw me in person without face paint on.

  • I have the most perfect Shi Tzu Maltese mix called Winnie.

  •  Every year I have a battle with squirrels to stop them from eating my pumpkins, they win every time.

  • I married two of my closest friends in 2020 and fell in love with officiating.

  • I found Beth at Art A Whirl when I heard another British accent. I decided then and there that she would be my best friend. Three years later she's still not getting rid of me!

  • You can normally find me baking gluten-free cookies, decorating them, and handing them out to the people I love most.
